The SULLAIR 02250146-964-XP is a maintenance part that you will find in lubricated compressor it is called an air oil separator element and it's a critical component of the lubrication system.
The air oil separator tank normally has a preliminary mechanical separator to remove most of the liquid oil, the element function is to capture the mist created by the flow and velocity of the mix getting into the tank.
Top hat style air oil separators are installed inside a separator tanks with a gasket and a grounding wire. They normally need to be changed anywhere between 4000 hr and 8000 hr depending on the parts.
